Age Requirement: Must be over the age of 18, regardless of parental consent.
Medical Clearance: If you are under a physician's care for a serious illness or disease, you must obtain a release from your doctor prior to the procedure.
Pregnancy: The procedure will not be performed if you are pregnant. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Botox and Fillers:
Botox should be administered either 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after the procedure.
Fillers should be done 6 weeks prior or 6 weeks after, except for lip fillers, which should be scheduled 4 weeks before or after the procedure.
Menstrual Cycle: If you are on your menstrual cycle during the procedure, you may experience increased sensitivity and discomfort.
Medications and Supplements: Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Niacin, and vitamins (including shakes/smoothies) for up to 3 days prior to the procedure, unless medically necessary, to reduce the risk of excessive bleeding. Tylenol is a safer alternative for pain relief if needed.
Topical Products:
Avoid using Retin-A, retinols, AHA’s, Vitamin A, or any similar lightening and peeling products for at least 1 week prior to the procedure.
Do not use these products near the procedure area for a minimum of 30 days post-procedure, as they may cause the pigment to fade more quickly.
Accutane: Must be stopped one year prior to the procedure.
Alcohol and Caffeine: Should be avoided for 24 hours before the procedure to minimize additional bleeding and swelling.
Sun Exposure: Avoid tanning beds and excessive sun exposure before the procedure. If you arrive with a sunburn or a fake tan, you may be turned away and asked to reschedule.
Exercise: Do not work out on the day of the procedure and avoid strenuous activities for 10 days following the procedure to prevent compromising the results.
Skin Condition: If you have open sores (such as cold sores, blisters, or pimples) in the treatment area, the procedure will not be performed.
Aftercare Compliance: Following the aftercare instructions is vital to achieving the best results. Failure to adhere to these instructions may result in suboptimal outcomes.
