Dimpled chin Treatment Chandler + Scottsdale, AZ

How can I smoothen my chin?

Looking to smooth out dimples or wrinkles on your chin? Our clinic in Chandler, proudly serving the Scottsdale area, offers Chin Botox (Mentalis) treatments to help you achieve a smoother, more refined chin profile.

Chin Botox, also known as Mentalis Botox, involves injecting botulinum toxin into the mentalis muscle. This treatment relaxes the muscle, reducing the appearance of dimples and wrinkles on the chin, and creating a smoother and more youthful look.

PRE-CARE

What should I do before my chin Botox treatment?

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood-thinning medications or supplements (like fish oil or vitamin E) for one week before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.

  • Limit Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to keep your skin hydrated.

  • Clean Skin: Ensure the treatment area is clean and free of makeup on the day of the procedure.

  • Avoid Facial Treatments: Do not undergo any other facial treatments, such as peels or microdermabrasion, for at least a week before your Botox appointment.

  • Consult with Provider: Discuss your medical history, allergies, and any medications you are currently taking with your healthcare provider.

  • Avoid Touching the Area: Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated area for at least 24 hours. This helps prevent the botulinum toxin from spreading to unintended areas.

  • Stay Upright: Remain upright for at least 4 hours after the injection. Avoid lying down or bending over excessively during this time.

  • Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, and activities that cause excessive sweating for 24 hours post-treatment. This reduces the risk of bruising and swelling.

  • Avoid Heat Exposure: Stay away from saunas, hot tubs, tanning beds, and prolonged sun exposure for a few days. Heat can increase the risk of swelling and bruising.

  • Be Gentle with Oral Hygiene: Brush your teeth gently and avoid aggressive flossing for the first 24 hours. Be cautious with mouthwash to prevent irritation.

  • Avoid Alcohol and Smoking: Refrain from consuming alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours, as these can increase the risk of complications and delay healing.

  • Cold Compress: If you experience any swelling or bruising, apply a cold compress to the area for short intervals (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) to help reduce inflammation.

  • Monitor for Adverse Reactions: Watch for any signs of excessive swelling, pain, or infection. If you experience any unusual symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
