Now focused on aesthetics, health, wellness, and functional medicine, Sean is pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner certification. - Stay Upright: Keeping your head elevated and avoiding lying down for 4-6 hours helps the Botox™ stay in the targeted areas and prevents it from migrating.
- No Exercise: Strenuous activities can increase blood flow and potentially cause the Botox™ to spread, increasing the risk of bruising and swelling.
- Skip Alcohol: Alcohol can thin your blood and increase the likelihood of bruising at the injection sites.
- Avoid Heat Exposure: Heat from hot tubs, saunas, tanning beds, and direct sunlight can increase blood flow and swelling, affecting the treatment area.
- Stay Hydrated: Drinking water helps your body heal and maintain healthy skin.
