  • Aging Signs: Botox™ effectively smooths visible signs of aging like crow's feet and forehead lines, ideal for Scottsdale residents aiming to maintain a youthful look.

  • Preventative Care: Ideal for proactive individuals, Botox™ prevents new wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles.

  • Hyperhidrosis Relief: If excessive sweating affects your daily life, Botox™ offers a significant reduction in sweat production, a valuable solution for Scottsdale residents.

  • Migraine Reduction: For those plagued by chronic migraines, Botox™ provides relief by decreasing the frequency and severity of headaches, enhancing quality of life in Scottsdale.

Ready to start your journey to endless confidence?

  • Hydration: Keep your lips well-hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment to ensure the skin is in good condition.

  • Avoid Lip Products: On the day of your appointment, avoid applying any lip balms, glosses, or lipsticks to ensure the area is clean for the injection.

  • Oral Care: Maintain good oral hygiene, as the proximity to the mouth increases the importance of minimizing the risk of infection. Brush and floss your teeth before your appointment.

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, Vitamin E, and other blood thinners 24-48 hours before your appointment (Tylenol is okay).

  • No Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to reduce bruising and swelling.

  • Skip Certain Skin Products: Avoid retinol, Retin-A, glycolic acid, and exfoliating products for 2-3 days before treatment.

  • Avoid Facial Treatments: No facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for a week before your appointment.

  • Discuss Health Conditions: Inform your injector of any health conditions or medications.

What should I do before my treatment?

PRE-CARE

  • Avoid Touching the Area: Touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas can cause the Botox™ to spread to unintended muscles, potentially leading to unwanted side effects.

  • Stay Upright: Keeping your head elevated and avoiding lying down for 4-6 hours helps the Botox™ stay in the targeted areas and prevents it from migrating.

  • No Exercise: Strenuous activities can increase blood flow and potentially cause the Botox™ to spread, increasing the risk of bruising and swelling.

  • Skip Alcohol: Alcohol can thin your blood and increase the likelihood of bruising at the injection sites.

  • Avoid Heat Exposure: Heat from hot tubs, saunas, tanning beds, and direct sunlight can increase blood flow and swelling, affecting the treatment area.

  • Stay Hydrated: Drinking water helps your body heal and maintain healthy skin.

  • No Makeup: Applying makeup soon after the treatment can irritate the skin and increase the risk of infection at the injection sites.

  • Gentle Cleansing: Using mild soap and water ensures that the treated areas remain clean without causing irritation.

  • Watch for Side Effects: Mild bruising, swelling, and redness are common and should resolve on their own. Severe side effects are rare but should be addressed immediately with your healthcare provider.
